6.2.3 CONTROL DEL PICK-UP
Con el motor parado:
Desconecte el conector (1) y realice las mediciones
(en el terminal cables pick-up).
Con un tester de bolsillo (escala x 100Ω), mida la re-
sistencia entre los terminales de los cables azul mari-
no/amarillo (B/G) y verde/blanco (V/Bi).
Valor estándard: 240 Ω ± 20%
Si la resistencia es infinita o inferior al valor prescrito, hay
que sustituir el pick-up.
6.2.4 CONTROL CENTRALITA C.D.I.
Extraiga la cola, véase 7.1.3 (DESMONTAJE COLA).
Desconecte el conector eléctrico (2) de la centralita
C.D.I.
Conecte los terminales positivo (+) y negativo (–) de
un tester de bolsillo a todos los terminales de la cen-
tralita C.D.I. (3), comprobando la continuidad y midien-
do el valor de resistencia.
Si la continuidad y los valores de resistencia correspon-
den a los indicados en la tabla a continuación, la centrali-
ta C.D.I. puede considerarse normal.
Mida la resistencia entre los terminales.

Ya que dentro de la centralita C.D.I. hay unos
diodos, condensadores y otros componentes
electrónicos, el método de medida indicado
es aproximado.
Se aconseja seguir adelante con otro control sustitu-
yendo la centralita con otra que funcione seguramen-
te, o realizar los controles previstos en el capítulo 6.3
(CONTROL INSTALACION ELECTRICA DE CONEC-
TOR CENTRALITA C.D.I.).

6.2.3 CHECKING THE PICK-UP
With the engine off, proceed as follows:
Disconnect the connector (1) and take the measure-
ment (on the pick-up cable terminal).
Take the value of the resistance between the terminals
of the blue/yellow (B/G) and green/white (V/Bi) cables,
by means of a pocket tester.
Standard value: 240 Ω ± 20%
If the resistance is infinite or lower than the prescribed
level, the pick-up must be changed.
6.2.4 CHECKING THE C.D.I.
Remove the rear part of the fairing, see 7.1.3 (REMO-
VING THE REAR PART OF THE FAIRING).
Disconnect the electric connector (2) from the C.D.I.
Connect the positive (+) and negative (–) terminals of a
pocket tester to all the C.D.I. (3) terminals, checking
the voltage continuity and measuring the resistance
value.
If the continuity and the resistance values correspond to
those indicated in the following table, the C.D.I. can be
considered normal.
Measure the resistance between the terminals.
Tester scale: x kΩ.

The measuring method indicated is approx-
imative, since inside the C.D.I. there are di-
odes, condensators and other electronic com-
ponents.
It is advisable to carry out a further check by replac-
ing the C.D.I. with another one, the operation of
which must be certainly correct, or to carry out the
cheking operations indicated in chapter 6.3 (CHECK-
ING THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FROM THE C.D.I.
CONNECTOR).
