    Enjoy PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION When repairing, disassembling and reassembling the vehicle, scrupulously observe the following recommenda- tions. CAUTION The use of open flames is forbidden under all circumstances. Before performing any servicing or checks, switch off the motor, remove the key, allow the motor to cool down, and if possible lift the vehicle on a solid level floor using specific equipment.
  • Page 7 Enjoy Only use GENUINE aprilia spares. Always use the recommended lubricants and consumables. If possible, lubricate parts before refitting them. When tightening screws and nuts, start with the larger or the inner ones and proceed diagonally. Carry out the tightening in successive steps before applying the full tightening torque.

    Enjoy SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE Each Time You Ride Wipe off your bicycle with a damp rag. Check tyre pressure. Check brakes. Weekly Oil cable,chain and pivot points (brake levers and V-brakes, shift levers, derailleurs) with a light bicycle lubricant. Avoid heavy oils that evaporate and leave a gummy residue.

    Enjoy LOCATION OF SERIAL NUMBERS These numbers are required to register the vehicle. IMPORTANT Tampering with vehicle serial num- bers is subject to severe penalties.     Enjoy FUNCTION SWITCH Information on the function switch 1. As illustrated above,it is a 3-mode switch, which has left,middle,and right positions. 2.     Enjoy LED INDICATOR FUNCTIONS The LED indicator shows the battery voltage. The voltage can be high (LED 4 lit) or low (LED 1 lit) according to both the remaining battery capacity and to the operating conditions. Battery Indicator The longest range in kilometres is obtained by using the derailleur so that LEDs 3 and 4 stay lit as long as possible (use light gear ratios and avoid, for example, starting in 6th gear).

    Enjoy RECHARGING SAFETY Avoid recharging the battery under the following circumstances: Immediately after using the bicycle, when the battery temperature has increased. When ambient temperature is higher than 30° C or lower than 0° C. BATTERY RECHARGING PROCEDURE The battery can be recharged by inserting the plug directly into the socket on the frame.

    Enjoy LED INDICATIONS When the colour of the battery charger recharge LED changes from orange to green, recharging is com- plete. At that point, the charger current will decrease, and even if the power cord stays connected no dam- age will occur. If the battery charger recharge LED (orange LED) does not light up, the recharge system is not working properly.

Unscrew pedal crank (1), paying attention to the direction of the thread. Loosen and remove the two screws (2). Loosen screw (3) without removing it.

    Enjoy CHECKING THE POWER PLANT Follow these steps should any unspecified malfunc- tion occur: - Check the battery charge. - Disconnect the motor from the battery by detaching the connector and then measure the resistance between the wires, which should be 1 ± 0.5 Ohm at 25°...

Disconnect electric motor (6) from the drive unit. Remove drive gear (9). Check the condition of gasket (10) and if necessary replace it.

    Enjoy Using a plastic mallet, strike a few blows on drive shaft (13) to remove drive unit cover (14) with the crown. Check the condition of the O-ring on the drive unit cover and if necessary replace it. From the drive unit, remove, in the following order, speed sensor mitre wheel (15), planetary gear system (16), and toothed wheel (17), interacting with the torque sensor.

    Enjoy CHECKING THE REAR WHEEL WARNING Check the condition of all components, and in particular of the following: BEARINGS Manually rotate race (1) making sure it turns smoothly and silently. There should be no axial plays. Any bearings showing the above defects must be replaced.
