Crankshaft position sensor resis-
tance
420 X 569 Ω at 20_C
(between gray and black)
S Is the crankshaft position sensor OK?
YES
8. Cylinder identification sensor output volt-
age
S Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the
cylinder identification sensor coupler termi-
nal as shown.
Tester positive probe ! white
Tester negative probe ! black/blue
S Set the main switch to "ON".
S Measure the cylinder identification sensor
output voltage.

When sensor is on
DC 4.8 V or more
When sensor is off
DC 0.6 V or less
S Is the cylinder identification sensor OK?
YES
FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
NO
Replace the crank-
shaft position sensor.

9. Speed sensor output voltage
S Measure the speed sensor output voltage.
S Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the
speed sensor coupler terminal as shown.
Tester positive probe ! white
Tester negative probe ! black/blue
S Measure the speed sensor output voltage.

When sensor is on
DC 4.8 V or more
When sensor is off
DC 0.6 V or less
S Is the speed sensor OK?
YES
