CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE EXHAUST GAS AT IDLE
5. Install:
S air filter case
Refer to "AIR FILTER CASE".
S fuel tank
Refer to "FUEL TANK".
6. Start the engine and warm it up until the spe-
cified oil temperature is reached.
Oil temperature
60 X 80_C
7. Measure:
S engine idling speed
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE ENGINE IDLING
SPEED".
Engine idling speed
1,100 X 1,200 r/min
8. Install:
S CO/HC tester 1
(onto the exhaust attachment)
9. Measure:
S carbon monoxide density
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Within specification ! Measure the exhaust
gas when induction system is operating.
Carbon monoxide density (when
air induction system is not
operating)
3.0 X 4.0%
