UPC Composite Mode

UPC symbols can be "linked" with a 2D symbol during transmission as if they were one
symbol. Three options are offered for these symbols:
• If UPC Never Linked is selected, UPC bar codes are transmitted regardless of
whether a 2D symbol is detected.
• If UPC Always Linked is selected, UPC bar codes are only transmitted when the
2D portion is detected.
• If Autodiscriminate UPC Composites is selected, the scanner determines if
there is a 2D portion, then transmits the UPC portion only.
