Valve train
1) Checking of actuating position on hydraulic tappets
The nominalworking
point is positioned in the mid-range of the possible travel.
Checking by measuring valve clearance with tappets empty (assembly state) and
pushrods pressed down.
The respective cylinder must be in ignition T.D.C. range.

2) Valve timing at 1 mm valve lift
Set valve train free of play by distance piece and take readings with cylinder 1 in ignition
T.D.C. and at 1 mm valve lift.
Priorto checking of valve timing furnish engine with dialgauge support and angle finder.
