5.2) Coolant accumulator:
Slacken outerclamps 23112 and wittr-
draw coolant accumulator along with
hoses. Remove crankcase plug screw.
Tum crankshaft, using ring spanner
24 a/f, into T.D.C. position on cylin-
der I and 2 and lock crankshaft by
fining lock screw 241'965 instead of
plug screw.
To facilitate positioning of crank-
shaft, turn crankshaft until align-
ment of the forged four-digit number
O on flywheel g with the edge 0 of
ignition cover is given.
To ensure proper engagement of locking
screw in crankshaft, turn crankshaft back
and forth till engaged and ttren tighten lock
scrcw to apprcx. l0 Nm (90 in.lb.).
5.3) Water pump housing:
With engine fined to trestle, turn
unit so that magneto end shows up-
wards.
Loosen 8 clamps 23112 and pull off
the 4 coolant hoses from water pump
O and cylinder heads. Remove both
Allen screws O M6x50 and take off
water inlet manifold 0 along with
O-ring. Three additional Allen
screws M6 O have to be removed
before waterpump housingand gas-
ket can be taken off.
