6.12) Water pump tousing
Check fitted coolant bends for leakage, cracks and tight fit.
Visual check for contact of impeller 0 in housing. Contact
would be evident at signs of wear on impeller and housing. If
necessary, rectify with a thinner washer €) under impeller to
obtain an optimum gap of 0,5 mm (0,02 in.).
6.13) Rev-counter drive
Mechanical rev-counter is driven from camshaft.
Remove Allen screw M5x16 O and lockwasher and withdraw rev-counter housing @ along
with O-ring @ and rev-counter shaft @ from ignition cover. Inspect toothing O and square end
of shaft. At oil leakage renew oil seal 6xl lx3 @ and O-ring 6. Press in new oil-seal right down
to stop in cover, using punch 877 400.

6.14) Magneto housing assfy
Normally there is no need to dis-assemble magneto housing, just check tightening tonque (25 Nn/
220 in.lb.) of the Allen sqews M8x30. If further tightening is possibly at 25 Nin (220 in.lb.), then
the screws have to be secured again with LOCTITE22l.Inspect taper and magneto ring.
6.15) Gearbox
Two versions of the reduction gearboxes are in production:
a) with overload clutch
b) without overload clutch
If furnished with overload clutch, check slipping torque prior
to dis-assembly. The nominal value is 450 +30 Nm (4000
260 in.lb.), with reduction ratio2,2'7 : l.
If the slipping torque is not within this value or if the wear on
the sliding tracks O of the dog hub @ is beyond the limit, dis-
assemble the overload clutch.
