7.6) Ignition cover
Insert Gring 5x2 (oil duct joint) into
crankcase and put guide sleev e ( 877 3 60 )
foroil seal on crankshaft Apply sealing
compound LOCTITE 574 to sealing face
of ignition cover assembly and fit cover
to crankcase whilst turning water pump
shaft to enable engagement of drive gear.
Anach coverwith 7 Allen screws M6x30
and spring washers tocrankcase, tighten
scrEws O 10 Nm.
INOTE:
7.7) Electric starter
Push electric starter ass'y (D along with
O-rings @ 4,7x1,4 and distance sleeves
@ intoignition cover@. Take care not to
pull starter ass'y apart whilst fitting. Af-
ter placing shim 5,3/10/1,5 and spring
washer on studs and tightening M5 hex.
nuts O, fix starterwith pre-shapedclamp
@ to ignition cover.
7.8) Water pump
Always use oil-seal
guide s1eeve879360
when fining ignition cover to en-
gine, thus keyway in crankshaft cannot
damage oil seal fined in cover.
The Allen screw I M6x30 posi tioned directly beside
the cable attachment O has to be sealed, using LOCTYIEzzl,since tapped hole
is open to crankcase.

Fit pump impeller O along with beneath placed
Tightening torque 22 Nm (195 in.lb).
washer (D, using special spanner 877 290.
Place gasket into position and tighten pump hous-
ing with two Allen screws M6x90 and Allen screw
M6x35. Check gap between impeller and pump
housing. At contact of impeller on housing, find
cause and rectify.
Axial position of impeller can be corrected by
changing thickness of washer (l}.
Fit water inlet manifold along with O-ring
