Version without overload clutch:
Place distance sleeve 35,2142115,5 and four disk springs 6, arranged against each
otheron prop shaft. Apply LOCTITE Anti-Seize to splines and slidingramps andput
dog hub O on shaft. Fit pre-oiled bearing bush @, using apairof circlip pliers, taking
care not to overstress bush. Fit dog gear €), apply LOCTITE Anti-Seize to both sides
of thrust washer O and fit along with retaining ring @.
Place gearbox ass'y under suitable fixture (see i//.
44) mdput pressure via yoke on dog gear O until
spring package @ is compressed to flat. With
springs compressed flat, measure distance A (from
top edge of retaining ring @ to lower edge of
groove O in prop shaft). The deter-
mined distance A is to be compensated
by shims @ placed without fail between
eccenter collar O and distance sleeve
35,2142115,5.
<) NOTE: On engines with vacuum
pump, retaining ring @ is executed as
drive gear.
Aftq pfE-tensioning of springs, refit
ring halves @ and release disk-springs.
