FINALIZING THE INSTALLATION

FLAME APPEARANCE:
Flame appearance is affected by several factors including altitude, venting configuration and fuel quality. Although the venturi setting has
been factory set, adjustments may be necessary for optimal performance and visual aesthetics.
When fireplace is first lit, the flames will be blue. Flames will gradually turn yellowish-orange during first 15 minutes of operation. If
flames remain blue, or become dark orange with evidence of sooting (black tips), the burner tube venturi may need adjustment.
WARNING: BURNER TUBE ADJUSTABLE VENTURI POSITIONING SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED
SERVICE TECHNICIAN.

IMPORTANT: SLIGHT ADJUSTMENTS TO BURNER VENTURI OPENING CREATE DRAMATIC RESULTS. ADJUST AT SLIGHT INCREMENTS
UNTIL DESIRED LOOK IS ACHIEVED. ALWAYS BURN FIREPLACE FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES AND ALLOW TIME TO COOL
BEFORE MAKING ANY FURTHER ADJUSTMENTS.
WARNING: TO AVOID PROPERTY DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY, ALLOW FIREPLACE AMPLE TIME TO COOL BEFORE MAKING ANY
ADJUSTMENTS.
TO ADJUST VENTURI:
1.
Remove full door face, or full door face doors, depending on style, glass frame assembly, logs, pilot
shield and burner assembly from fireplace.
2.
Remove screw securing burner to firebox back wall. Lift right side of burner assembly up to release
venturi from burner orifice. Remove burner assembly from firebox.
3.
Loosen venturi screw, make adjustment, retighten screw.
4.
Re-install burner, ensuring venturi is positioned over burner orifice. Secure to back wall with screw
previously removed.
5.
Reinstall pilot shield, logs, glass frame assembly and full door face.
6.
Light fireplace. Wait at least 15 minutes before determining if any further adjustments are necessary.
ADJUST EXHAUST DAMPER -
If LP gas is used in a horizontal vent configuration, it may be necessary to adjust exhaust damper to a more
open position to prevent fire from burning dirty, which results in soot accumulation on glass.
The exhaust damper is factory set to closed position (approx. 1/2" (13mm) opening.
TO ADJUST: Loosen wing nuts securing damper, slide towards front of fireplace. Re-tighten wing nuts.
