Installing an expansion card
The system board offers one standard PCI slot and six PCI express slots. Of
these six PCI express slots, four are x4 slots and two potential x8 slots. The
capacity of the two x8 slots depends on how all the PCI express slots are filled.
Slot 3 and slot 6 are automatically used as x8 slots, if slot 2 respectively slot 5
are not occupied.

Ê Swing the lever in the direction of the arrow (1).
Ê Remove the clip (2).
Ê Remove the slot cover (3).

CAUTION!
Keep the slot cover for further use. If you remove the hard disks
extension box again and do not replace it with a new one, the dummy
covers must be reinstalled to comply with EMC regulations and to satisfy
cooling requirements and fire protection measures.
