Power Over Ethernet

Providing up to 24 PoE, in-line power interface, the GE-DS-242-PoE PoE Switch
can easily build a power central-controlled IP phone system, IP Camera system,
AP group for the enterprise. For instance, 24 camera / AP can be easily installed
around the corner in the company for surveillance demands or build a wireless
roaming environment in the office. Without the power-socket limitation, the PoE
Switch makes the installation of cameras or WLAN AP more easily and
efficiently.

Power Management
In a power over Ethernet system, operating power is applied from a power
source (PSU-power supply unit) over the LAN infrastructure to powered devices
(PDs), which are connected to ports. Under some conditions, the total output
power required by PDs can exceed the maximum available power provided by
