Basic settings and service procedures
Replace brush roller (BR version)
– Remove the wing nuts (1) and (5) and pull off
the mouting plate (4).
– Pull out the brush (2) and check for wear, re-
place if necessary.
– Insert the new brush onto the opposite drive
shaft and reinstall the mounting plate (4).
Check / replace the disc brushes (BD
version)
– Raise the brush head (7).
– Lift the disc brushes, rotate by 45 degrees and
remove from below.
– Check disc brushes for wear.
– Install the new disc brush in reverse order.
Replace drive belt (BR version)
– Remove the wing nuts (1) and (5).
– Remove mounting plate (4).
– Remove cover plate (6).
– Loosen the 4 retaining screws (12) of the mo-
tor.
– Remove drive belts (8).
– Install new drive belts, tauten and tighten the
retaining screws (12) of the motor. The V-belt
tension is determined by the position of the
motor shaft (11).
Note:
The drive belt (8) must be tightened so that
it gives way by maximum 5 mm (0.19 in)
when pressed forcefully with a thumb.
