FRONT BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

FRONT AND REAR BRAKE LINING
INSPECTION
Front brake
1.Apply the front brake.
2.Inspect:
Wear indicator 1
Indicator reaches the wear limit mark 2
→ Replace brake shoes as a set.
Refer to the "FRONT WHEEL AND FRONT
BRAKE" section in CHAPTER 7.
Rear brake
1.Depress the Rear brake pedal.
2.Inspect:
Wear indicator 1
Indicator reaches the wear limit mark 2
→ Replace brake shoes as a set.
Refer to the "REAR BRAKE" section in
CHAPTER 7.
FRONT BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
NOTE:
Before adjusting the front brake, the front
brake linings should be inspected.
CAUTION:
Proper lever free play is essential to avoid
excessive brake drag.

Front brake lever free play a
Out of specification → Adjust.
