REAR SHOCK ABSORBER AND SWINGARM

REMOVAL

1.Remove:
Rear wheel (left)
Wheel hub
Rear wheel (right)
Brake drum
Brake shoe plate
Rear axle
Refer to the "REAR WHEEL/REAR BRAKE
AND REAR AXLE - REMOVAL" section.
2.Remove:
Final gear case protector 1
3.Remove:
Final gear case unit 1
Refer to the "FINAL DRIVE GEAR AN
DRIVE SHAFT - REMOVAL" section in
CHAPTER 6.
4.Remove:
Clip 1
Washer 2
Shaft 3 (shock absorber - lower)
Thrust cover
NOTE:
When removing the lower shaft 3, hold the
swingarm so that it does not drop down-
wards when the shaft is removed.
