ELECTRIC STARTING SYSTEM
5.Measure:
Brush length a (each)
Out of specification → Replace the brush.
6.Measure:
Brush spring force
Fatigue/out of specification → Replace as
a set.
7.Inspect:
Oil seal
Bushing
O-rings
Wear/damage → Replace.
STARTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
1.Install:
Yoke
Brackets
NOTE:
Align the match marks a on the yoke with
the match marks b on the brackets.

10 mm (0.39 in)
<Wear limit:>
3.5 mm (0.14 in)
Brush spring force:
730 ~ 970 g (7.16 ~ 9.52 N)
