You can find software applications inside the App World, but since the App World is a
relatively new addition to the BlackBerry environment, you will also find many
applications outside of App World. Check out chapter 30 called ''Adding and Removing
Software'' starting on page 475 for more information.

The App World Concept

Application stores are all the rage in the world
of smartphones these days. One of the great
things about a BlackBerry is that you can find
applications in lots of places, not just the
sanctioned application store. That said,
BlackBerry App World is a new concept for
BlackBerry and deserves some explanation.
Remember that you can always go to the
other locations mentioned on Page 475 to
find additional applications for your
BlackBerry.

Downloading the App World Program

BlackBerry App World is a free download for all BlackBerry users, and it works
particularly well on the new BlackBerry Bold. If the App World icon was not
already on your BlackBerry when you received it, you will need to download and
install it.
