To Insert a Memory Card (MicroSD format):
You do not need to remove the battery. Gently place the media card with the metal
contacts facing down and slide it completely into the media card slot shown in Figure 2
below.
To Remove the Memory Card:
For Bold 9700: Press it in with your fingernail until it pops out, then remove it. For Bold
9650: Slide it out with your fingernail.
To Remove or Replace the Battery:
Gently put your fingernail under the edge of the battery (with the black or gray
semicircle---- - see Figure 2) and pry it up and out. To replace it, place it in the slot with the
metal contacts touching and press it down firmly into the BlackBerry.
To Insert a SIM Card (Required to Connect to a GSM phone network):
For Bold 9700, you first need to remove the battery to see the SIM card slot. Place the
SIM card on the left edge with the notch in the upper left corner and slide it completely
into the SIM card slot (see Figure 2).
To Replace the Back Cover:
Place the back cover on the bottom half of the device and slide it up to the top until it
clicks or locks into place.
