Mentions
A mention, in Twitter speak, is a tweet that mentions your
@username somewhere in the body. These are collected and
stored in the Mentions section of your Twitter account.
My Lists
You can create a custom list so that your followers cannot only
follow everything you say but can choose to follow a specific topic
(a list) that you create. In this example, we created a list entitled
Made Simple Announcements, so users can choose to only follow
our special announcements.
My Profile
Just as it sounds, the My Profile icon will take you to your
Twitter profile. You can see your followers, your tweets, and
your biography. Just click any field in your profile, and a short
menu comes us. To edit your information, just choose Edit
Profile from the menu.
Direct Messages
Direct messages are messages
between you and another
Twitter user. Click the Direct
Messages icon to see yours.
1. To compose a direct message,
just click the Compose
Message icon, fill in the to field
with the Twitter user name, and
type your 140-character
message in the box.
2. When you are finished, click
the Send button.
