Dialing [Type] (Dial Type)
MBC - 2-LN-04
This is the dialing mode for CO Lines. It can be Tone (DTMF) or Pulse (Rotary). Data
Range: Tone, Pulse
Factory Setting: Tone

To ensure that all CO Line features work correctly any CO Line that is not connected
to a live telephone company lines should me identified as "EMPTY".
CO Line Type: Select from the following: CO, PBX, EMPTY, PAGE, HOTLN.
CO is a standard CO Line (CO).
PBX identifies the CO Line as a station line from a host PBX; special
automatic dialing rules are then applied.
HOTLN Hotline; Marks this CO Line port as being connected to an outside
CO service (e.g. Hotlines). DTMF signaling is supported and two-way
communications are established for this port when accessed. This CO Line
Type is identified as not accessible to automatic access features such as Last
Number Redial or dial 9 access.
PAGE marks this CO Line port as being connected to ancillary devices (like
paging equipment). DTMF signaling is supported and two-way
communications are established for this port when accessed. This CO Line
Type is identified as not accessible to automatic access features such as Last
Number Redial or dial 9 access.
EMPTY identifies a CO Line position that is equipped but not used. (Vacant
port.) This is a quick way to mark it to be skipped for automatic access
features.

Loud Bell (Loud Ringer)

When a CO Line is programmed to loud bell Y the system closes a relay that can
activate an ancillary loud bell unit or activate an ancillary strobe light.
Data Range: Y - N
Factory Setting: N
Press chg to select.
