6 = Operator Operations
The Operator Operations parameters are referenced whenever a caller dials 0 while in
the voice processing system. There are three programmable parameters that can be
customized for each installation.
•
1 Operator extension regular hours - This parameter establishes the extension
that rings during office hours when a caller dials 0. At default, extension 10 is
defined as the operator.

2 Operator extension after hours - This parameter establishes the extension that
rings after hours when a caller dials 0. At default, extension 10 is defined as the
operator.

3 Operator's voice mailbox - The operator's voice mailbox 0 can be enabled or
disabled. When disabled, no messages can be recorded in mailbox 0. When
enabled messages can be recorded.
Note:
Use the following steps to program mailbox 0 key:
1.
At any idle extension, press Feature #3.
2.
Press an available Programmable Feature key.
3.
Within three seconds, press chg.
4.
Press the interactive soft-key associated with the feature.
5.
Press the Feature key followed by 66 0. 66 is a definable mailbox key and 0 is
the mailbox that is being defined. For other mailboxes please refer to the depart-
ment programming section.
6.
Press the interactive soft-key associated with save.
Any number of digital telephones can be programmed with a programmable
key to monitor mailbox 0. When a message is left in mailbox 0, all extensions
with a programmed key will receive a flashing indication that a new message
is in the mailbox. Unlike all other mailboxes, the Operator Mailbox does not
require a password. The Message Waiting Indication (LED and Status Bar)
will be turned off at all extensions when the mailbox is accessed.
