c. Connecting Rod and Piston
(A) Piston pin bore
1. Measure the I.D. of the piston pin bore in piston
(lengthwise and widthwise of the piston) with a cyl-
inder gauge.
2. If the measurement exceeds the allowable limit,
replace the piston.

(B) Piston pin and brushing clearance
1. Measure the piston pin O.D. with an outside
micrometer.
2. Measure the piston pin busing I.D. with an inside
micrometer.
3. If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit with new
bushing, replace the piston pin.

(C) Replacing the piston pin bushing
1. Press out the bushing, using a piston pin bushing
replacing tool.
2. Clean the new bushing and the bore and apply oil
to them.
3. Press in the bushing, using the replacing tool.
IMPORTANT:
Align the oil holes of the connecting rod and the
bushing.
