(8) Adjusting the margins for scanning the original from the DF

Perform the following adjustment if margins are not correct.

Caution:
Before making the following adjustment, ensure that the above adjustments have been made in maintenance mode.
Procedure
Start
Enter maintenance mode.
Enter "404" using the copy exposure
adjustment keys or zoom +/- keys.
Press the start key.
Select the item to be adjusted using
the copy exposure adjustment keys.
Exp. 1 (lit): DF left margin
Exp. 3 (lit): DF leading edge margin
Exp. 5 (lit): DF right margin
Exp. 1 (flashing): DF trailing edge margin
Press the printer key and the machine
enters the test copy mode.
Place an original on the DF and press
the start key to make a test copy.
Are the margins correct?
Yes
Proceed to another mode?
Press the stop/reset key
to exit maintenance mode.
End
