SYMPTON AND POSSIBLE SOLUTION
The DTI Server performed a portion of its initialization success-
fully. However, when it was sending an "AT" command as part of
initialization, the DTI Server received an "ERROR" response.
(Note that the Desktop OAI protocol is proprietary protocol based
on modem AT commands. Some of the commands in the protocol
are generic AT commands and not unique to the telephone sys-
tem.) If the DTI Server is configured to use a PCDPM (serial con-
nection), see "A timeout occurred while writing to the serial port"
on page 86 for possible causes. The most common cause is that
the serial cord is plugged into another device and not a PCDPM. If
the DTI Server is configured to use the CP Server (TCP/IP con-
nection), ensure the IP address and TCP port (located in the
Desktop OAI Connection Settings tab in the DTI Server Settings
dialog box) correctly point to the CP Server.
The DTI Server performed a portion of its initialization success-

The DTI Server received an improperly formatted TCP/IP Desktop
OAI message from the application. The DTI Server will terminate
the application's connection and close the connection to the
phone system if no other applications are connected.
