Printing a Directory

MasterDirectory enables you to print the contents of a directory as a phone book. You can customize the
page layout of the phone book by selecting which fields will be printed, fonts, headers, footers, and multi-
column output.
To print a directory:
1.
On the toolbar, click the Print button.
The Phone Book Settings dialog box appears.
Each field is associated with position, length, alignment, and filler.
Position is the distance from the left margin of the page.
Length is the space the field will occupy.
Within that space, the field can be aligned to the left, aligned to the right, or centered.
Filler is the space between the end of the current field and the beginning of the next field. By default,
the filler consists of empty spaces.
NOTE:
The positions and lengths are represented in units of average font size. Since in most cases proportional
fonts are used, actual printout may not correspond exactly to the position count. For example, if a field
contains 5 characters and you set the length to 5 in the phone book setting, it may be truncated. A
length of 7 or 8 may be a safer bet.
