ING
Ping is used to check the connectivity to a specific host by using the IP address of
the remote host.
Ping is invoked to send ICMP echo requests. Pings send a series of ICMP echo
requests, capture responses, and corollary statistics regarding data packet loss.
1. Click Ping to display the Ping page.

Enter the IP address of the remote host in the Ping field.

Select the VRF from the VRF list. This is not mandatory.
If the VRF name is specified, the packets will be routed using the routing table of
the specified VRF on a interface associated with the VRF.

Click Ping. A status bar is displayed showing the ping status.

Once the ping is successful, the following information is displayed
•
Status - The ping status: Complete/In progress
•
Packets - The number of packets sent.
•
Bytes - Number of bytes for each packet.
•
Remarks - Time out for each packet.
•
Detailed Status - Displays the detailed ping status.
