The advanced ProScan universal remote controls your TV
and up to two compatible ProScan brand VCRs. The VCR2
button can also control a compatible ProScan laserdisc
player.
To control a
compatible ProScan VCR, first press the VCR1
or VCR2button to put the remote in the "VCR mode". The
buttons shown below will then control the VCR.
Selected models of VCRs have a switch that lets you determine which
VCR will be controlled by the VCR1 b utton, and which VCR by the VCR2
button. Other models have an on-screen menu that lets you determine if
it will be controlled by VCR1or VC_2. Some older VCRs have a
NORMflJNIFIED switch that can also respond to either the VCRaor VCR2
button on the remote. Place this switch in the ONtFtED position for the
VCR to respond to the vcal button or in the NORMposition for the VCR2
button. In the NORMposition, you must program the vca2 button to
respond to code number 05.
The buttons shown below do not operate all functions on all
VCRs. You may only be able to control your VCR's basic
functions.

REWIND B UII'ONPress while VCR is
to rewind tape. Press while VCR is playing
to search backward.

turn on
VCR and put remote in "VCR Mode" so
other buttons will control the VCR. Press
the rv button to put remote back into "TV
Mode".

is doing: playing, recording, rewinding,
or fast forwarding.
