5.1.5 Description of Adjustments

The following tables describe the general outline of the adjustments.
Note "*1": AU = Software tool including Adjustment Program
"*2": AT = Jig or Tool for the adjustment (does not include the program tool)

ADJUSTMENT
Adjusts the tension of the PF Timing Belt to a specified level.
Adjusts the height of the LD Roller to ensure stable paper feeding.
Adjusts the platen gap to the proper amount.
Carries out the initialization of the RTC and writes USB ID.
Writes the Head Rank ID.
Prints an adjustment pattern to check if the print head is slanted in the PF direction and corrects if slanted.
Prints an adjustment pattern to check if the print head is slanted in the CR direction and corrects if slanted.
Sets or clears a flag for initial ink charge as necessary after replacing the main board.
Backs up the parameters stored in the NVRAM on the previous board and uploads it to the new board.
Checks the operation of the APG.
Performs an initial ink charge.
Carries out various cleanings.
Writes and reads the serial number.
Adjusts the amount of ink droplets.
Installs the firmware.
Checks and adjusts the operation of the ink mark sensor.
Carries out head washing and discharging of ink.
Adjusts the Bi-D automatically.
Adjusts the Uni-D automatically.
