9. Fine-tune using the ribbon shield:
Note: The ribbon does not need to be removed to perform this
adjustment.
a. Slightly loosen the ribbon shield adjustment screws.
b. Move either side of the ribbon shield 'in' or 'out' to smooth the ribbon and remove
any wrinkle-related voids from the printed labels.
c. Carefully tighten the ribbon shield adjustment screws.
d. Print several labels.
e. Verify the adjustment corrected the problem and repeat this step, if necessary.
10. Install the operating media and adjust the media width, if necessary.
Note: The operating media is the actual labeling material you will print on.
11. Print and examine a label.
12. Readjust the ribbon shield slightly, if needed.
