1 Entering Documents into an F-Code Based Confidential Box

Perform the following procedure when you want to enter documents
into your F-Code Based Confidential Box.
* You can add new documents to those currently in your F-Code
Based Confidential Box, and you can also delete all of the
documents currently in that box and replace them with new
documents.
* If you want to delete the data for documents stored in an F-Code
Based Confidential Box, simply print out those documents. (Refer
to "2 Printing Out Documents from an F-Code Based Confidential
Box", page 4-13.)
* If you want to cancel the procedure part way through, press the
Reset key. The operation panel will return to the initial mode settings.

1. Set the documents you want to transmit.
* When the documents are set on the platen, it is necessary,
after each page is scanned, to select whether or not you want to
transmit more pages. (Refer to page 1-25.)

2. Raise the cover plate and press the Confidential key.
The "Enter/Print data from box" ["Box input / output"] menu will
appear in the message display.

3. Make sure that "Scan original to confi. box" ["Subad. confid. box
input"] is selected in the message display and press the Enter key.

4. Use the keypad to enter the subaddress (4 digits) of the F-Code
Based Confidential Box you want to put the documents in.
* If you want to reset the displayed number to "0000", simply press
the Stop/Clear key.

5. If there are no other documents currently in this F-Code Based
Confidential Box, proceed to step 8. If there ARE documents in the
F-Code Based Confidential Box, proceed to step 6.
6. Press the Enter key.

7. Use the cursor up or the cursor down key to select the desired
operation.
> If you want simply to add documents to those already in the
F-Code Based Confidential Box, select "Add".
> If you want to delete all of the documents currently in the
F-Code Based Confidential Box and replace them with new
documents, select "Overwrite" ["Overlay"].
* If you do select "Overwrite" ["Overlay"], BE AWARE that any
documents received using F-Code Based Confidential
Communication will also be deleted.
> If you want to cancel the procedure for adding documents,
select "Cancel".
8. Press the Enter key.
The documents will be scanned into memory.
* Once all of the documents have been scanned into memory,
the operation panel will return to the initial mode settings.
* If the subaddress you entered is not registered in the fax,
an error message will appear and then the message display will
return to a display that allows you to enter the subaddress again.
