Replacing the Power Supply (SR1530HSH)

Caution: The power supply is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the power supply,
you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to
the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power
cord from the system or wall outlet.
You can replace the power supply if it fails or if one of the integrated fans in it fails. To
replace the power supply, use the following instructions.
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See
Information" on page
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable
(see letter "A" in Figure 64).
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
System
4. Disconnect all power cables connected to the server board and peripherals.
5. Lift up slightly on the front of the power supply until it clears the foot at the bottom
of the chassis (see letter "B" in Figure 64).
6. Slide the power supply forward (see letter "C" in Figure 64) and then lift it from the
chassis.
