Always operate your server system with the processor air duct in place. The air duct is
required for proper airflow within the server system.
Removing the Processor Air Duct
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See

2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see

4. Lift the processor air duct from its location behind the two system blower fans (see
Figure 17 for SR1530SH; see Figure 18 for SR1530HSH).
