Removing the Solvent Pump for Service
1. Stop the pump at the bottom of its stroke.
2. Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure on page 20.
3. Disconnect the air line from the solvent pump (89).
4. Refer to the CAUTION on page 79. Label the
solvent pump (89), suction kit (610), and fluid hose
(59) with white tape, for reference when reassem-
bling. Remove the suction kit and fluid hose from
the solvent pump.
To service the displacement pump (D):
5. Remove the lower cotter pin (C) and tie rod nuts
(N), then unscrew the displacement rod (R) from
the air motor adapter (A). Inspect the o-ring (B).
See Fig. 102.
6. Refer to manual 307619 to service the displace-
ment pump.
7. Reinstall in the reverse order.
To service the air motor (M):
8. Disconnect the cycle counter sensor (607) from its
mating connector. Unscrew the cycle counter
sensor housing (622) from the air motor port.
9. Remove the cable strap (620) and magnet (621)
from the solvent pump.
10. Remove the screws (623) and washers (624).
Remove the motor from its mounting bracket.
11. Disconnect the displacement pump (D) as ex-
plained above, if you have not already done so.
12. Refer to manual 306982 to service the President
air motor.
13. Reinstall in the reverse order.
