Continuity Checks

Follow the procedure on page 86 to access the circuit
board, keypad, or schematic panel ribbons to conduct
the continuity tests. Be sure to put on the ground strap
provided before checking continuity.
Use an ohmmeter to check continuity on the ribbon
cable for the desired light or key. Refer to the following
charts and Fig. 92 for the associated pin numbers and
locations.

Cause/Solution
Open system air supply (red handle
ball valve). Check air supply pressure
and volume.
Clean main air filter.
Clean power supply filter.
Replace power supply. See Service,
page 92.
Replace keypad. See Service, page
86.
Replace schematic panel. See Ser-
vice, page 86.
Air supply volume too low. Increase
air volume.
Air supply pressure too high. Do not
exceed 100 psi (0.7 MPa, 7 bar).
Air supply volume too low. Increase
air volume.
NOTE:
When closed, the keys should have less than 100
ohms resistance.
Check the lights for continuity with the leads touch-
ing the pins one way then reverse polarity. If there
is no continuity reading with either check, the lights
are bad and the entire part needs to be replaced.
