Level Sensors

Problem
Level Sensor Alarm
Alarm does not sound

Adjusting Level Sensors

Adjust the level sensor by turning the small screw in
the hole on the back of the sensor.
Turn the screw clockwise to increase the range of the
sensor and make it more sensitive; the indicator light
for the sensor will come on sooner and stay on longer.
Troubleshooting
Operating Condition
Fluid above sensor, schematic sensor
light off
Fluid below sensor, schematic sensor
light on
Turn the screw counterclockwise to decrease the
range of the sensor and make it less sensitive; the
indicator light for the sensor will shut off sooner.
Voltmeter that is capable of reading resistance and
dc voltage.
Small standard screwdriver
Cause/Solution
Verify that the level sensor option
was selected correctly. See Setup,
page 50.
Check the sensor wiring connections.

Adjust sensor sensitivity. See below.
Check the operation of the sensor by
switching the wire connection with the
reservoir level sensor that operates.

If sensor has failed, replace sensor.

Check continuity of level sensor light.

Check feed pumps. See page 62.
