Authentication
Whether or not authentication is required depends on the configuration in the SCB. If no
authentication is requested, the charging process is free for the customer.
If authentication is required, the following four options are available. Follow the instructions
on the SICHARGE D display for the chosen option.
RFID
The RFID reader is located behind the glass under the display. You receive a corresponding
RFID card, for example, after registering with a mobility service provider. Here, you need to
enter your account data, for example. Hold your RFID card in front of the RFID reader when
prompted.
PIN
After registration at the operator of the charging station, the customer receives a PIN.
QR code
Scanning a QR code initiates an operator-specific authorization process in the OCPP backend.
This requires the use of an app with a continuing obligation on the part of the user. As a
measured value user, take into account the calibration law information in the annex. The
charging process is then started from the OCPP backend. An outlet-specific QR code can be
displayed on the touch screen after entry of the URL in the SCB. Alternatively, a general QR
code can also be displayed.
Credit card
The credit card reader is located behind the glass under the display. The symbol lights up as
soon as the contactless payment process can be performed. PIN entry or similar is not
possible.
The charging station display shows the transaction processes.
Before the charging process begins, the limit for credit card transactions is reserved for
contactless payment and shown on the display. The limit for credit card transactions is
country-specific. The limit for credit-card transactions is country-specific but is also dependent
on the selected terminal provider and the credit card used. If you do not finish the charging
process beforehand, the OCPP backend will terminate the charging process when this limit is
reached.
To download the e-Receipt of your transaction, select the help screen. Scan the QR code
displayed. On this website you can then download the e-receipt for your transaction to your
end device.
Registration with an EMSP backend is not necessary, in contrast to contract-based charging.
NOTE
Siemens is not responsible for the "e-Receipt" function. Make sure that the infrastructure for
receipt transmission is available.
