Hazards in the event of fire, explosions and emergencies

Fire and explosion protection
Do not store or use highly flammable liquids that produce flammable vapors, such as gasoline
or ethanol, in the proximity of the dispenser. Electrostatic charges or heat generated during
charging can ignite explosive and flammable liquids.
Fire hazard
In the event of a fire, leave the danger zone. Do not use the dispenser in the event of a fire.
Insufficient ventilation
Insufficient ventilation clearances result in components overheating and, in the worst case, in
the generation of smoke and fire. A fire can result in severe injuries.
Furthermore, the service life of installed components is reduced significantly by
overtemperatures.
2.4

Dangers due to electrical current

2.4.1

Protection against ingress of liquid

The IP54 degree of protection of the cabinet protects the dispenser from ingress of water
splashing against it from all directions. The protection standard prevents ingress of
precipitation and any liquid not under pressure that comes into contact with the enclosure
surface.
In addition, protect the dispenser from liquids hitting the cabinet surface under pressure:
• Do not use a pressure washer or steam jet to clean the dispenser.
• Install the dispenser at a flood-proof location
Electric shock due to ingress of liquid
Powerful water jets or flooding can cause liquid to enter the dispenser. Moisture or liquid
inside the dispenser can lead to electric shock.
Follow the instructions below if there is a risk that liquid may have entered the dispenser:
• Take the dispenser out of service by switching off the DC load voltage (-QA1) and the
• Have qualified personnel dry the dispenser and check it for damage
