We recommend free-standing installation of the dispenser. When positioning two
SICHARGE D devices next to each other, maintain double the minimum clearances between
the two devices to ensure the cooling concept. Note the swivel range of the door.
In addition, you need a minimum clearance of 20 cm between the top of the dispenser and
the ceiling at the planned location. Depending on your local conditions and the method you
plan to use to install the dispenser, you may need to increase the minimum clearances.
The maximum permissible distance between the SICHARGE D charging station and dispenser
amounts to 10 m.
Shading
It is recommended that the dispenser be protected from direct sunlight by a suitable
sunshade. Direct sunlight can additionally heat the dispenser and especially the charging
cables, which can automatically reduce the charging power.
In addition, strong UV radiation can cause premature aging of the insulation of the charging
cables. This could significantly reduce maintenance intervals.
Maximum operating temperature at the air inlet
The maximum operating temperature at the air inlet is 55 °C. Between 35 °C and 55 °C, the
available charging power may be reduced depending on the duration of the charging process
and the requested vehicle power.
Direction of air flow
The supply air enters into the two sides of the dispenser from the bottom. The air flow within
the dispenser is from bottom to top. The warm exhaust air exits from the front side at the
top.
The operator must ensure that the air entry openings are kept free and not blocked by
obstacles, such as snow or leaves.
Electrical installation
The dispenser is designed for connection to SICHARGE D. Connect the dispenser to the
charging station using a cable that is correctly dimensioned for the expected current load of
400 A. We recommend the use of very finely-stranded conductors.
