Response Time
5.4.5
The response time is the minimum time that a fault current must persist in the network for a fault to be
termed as a valid fault. The response time for a valid fault is configured manually using the positions DIP 1 and
DIP 2 in DIP Switch (S4). The response time is different depending on the selected MLFB. The following tables
provide a detailed overview of the response time (in millisecond (ms)) of the device depending on the DIP
switch position.

Fault Auto-Reset Time

The fault auto-reset feature is used to reset fault indications automatically after a configured time period has
elapsed. The fault auto-reset time can be configured manually by using the positions DIP 3 and DIP 4 in
DIP Switch (S4). The fault auto-reset time is different depending on the selected MLFB. The following table
provides a detailed overview of the fault auto-reset time (in hours (h)) of the device depending on the DIP
Switch positions.
