5.2 Fault Reset
The fault indication in the device can be reset using any one of the following reset methods:
•
Manual reset
Press the push-button for 1 s to reset the fault indication manually.
•
Remote reset (LVR)
Short the low-voltage reset (LVR) potential free input contacts for minimum of 1 s. This is performed
remotely by using RTU/control system.
•
AC BI reset
Apply an AC signal (110 V to 230 V, ± 20 % tolerance) to the AC BI reset input terminals for 2 s.
•
DC BI reset
Apply a DC signal (9 V to 38 V) to the DC BI reset input terminals for 2 s.
•
Auto reset (fault reset using timer)
The fault indications are reset automatically after expiry of the auto-reset time set in the device. The
following timer resets are available: 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h, 10 h, 16 h, 32 h. These reset timers are
MLFB-specific.
Refer to 5.4.6 Fault Auto-Reset Time on how to configure auto reset functionality.

Auxiliary AC recovery reset
Post fault occurrence, if the AC auxiliary voltage restores to 110 V to 230 V, ± 20 % tolerance level for
15 s, then the fault is reset.
This fault reset method is disabled by default. Refer to 5.4.4 Auxiliary AC Recovery Reset Setting on how
to enable this functionality.
•
Ground current-based reset
Post fault occurrence, the fault will automatically reset on recovery of zero sequence current in the range
of 5 A ± 3 A for 15 s.
This fault reset method is disabled by default. Refer to 5.4.3 Ground Current-Based Reset Setting on how to
enable this functionality.
