For 6MD2311-2BB10-0AA5 and 6MD2311-1DC10-0AB6 MLFB device variants, there is a jumper located on
PCBA as shown in Figure 3-5. Place the jumper in ON position before reinserting the device front cover. The
jumper is in default OFF position. The jumper is not applicable for other variants.
Complete the installation by reinserting the device front cover and fastening the front cover with 4

screws.
Perform a battery check by pressing the push-button on the front cover for more than 3 s and releasing it.

The battery LED is turned ON for 2 s and turned OFF indicating the battery is healthy.
Perform a function check (also referred to as self-test) by pressing the push-button on the front cover for
1 s and releasing it. The BOs and the flag will latch and reset. The fault LED and battery LED blink 5 times
to indicate that the device is functioning properly and is ready to use.
