To use the external REC control function, you must assign the recorder's
video recording start/stop functions to a USER button on the dashboard.
1 .
Follow the steps in "Using the dashboard" (p. 84) to assign
the "EXTERNAL REC CONTROL" function to a USER button on
the dashboard.
Turning REC control on/off
2 .
From the [MENU] button
"VIDEO OUT 1–3", set "EXTERNAL REC CONTROL" to "ON".
Operation
1 .
Touch a USER button on the dashboard to which the
recording start/stop function has been assigned.
Each time you touch the button, the recorder switches between video
record start/stop.
* This example shows the function assigned to USER button 1.
NOTE
The lights of the USER buttons on the dashboard show the status of
the VR-6HD, and are not linked with the recorder's status.
For instance, if the recorder stops recording for some reason while
the USER buttons are lit, these buttons do not automatically go dark
in response.
