BayStream 7.3 Documentation Change Notice

Using Site Manager

To configure a VFS volume using Site Manager, complete the following steps:
You do this
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose Platform.
2. Choose Volatile File Systems.
3. Click on ADD.
4. Enter the number of the slot number
where you want to create the Volatile File
System and file size.
5. Click on OK.
6. Click on DONE.
You can also use the preceding Site Manager procedure to delete or change the
size of the file system volume.
Note: If you enter a value for the VFS memory that exceeds the available
memory on the FRE card, Site Manager will not create the VFS and does not
generate a warning message.

Site Manager Procedure
System responds
The Volatile File Systems window
opens.
The ADD dialog box opens.
Site Manager returns you to the
VFS Filesystems window. The
new volume appears in the
window.
Site Manager returns you to the
Configuration Manager window.
