Full Status Response
During the initialization phase, one of two conditions can occur at the slave node:
•

LIV status enquiry procedures

• Fast start procedures
LIV Status Enquiry Procedures
When the master node attempts to bring up the slave node using LIV status
enquiry messages on each link, the slave node simply responds to the messages
with LIV Status Response messages. This pattern will repeat until one of the links
receives a full status enquiry. At this point the slave node will respond with a full
status response and initiates bi-directional procedures on that link.
Note: The master node only sends a full status enquiry message on the
selected link. This point may be reached after responding to as few as one LIV
status enquiry message from the master node.
