Using the New View wizard

Use the New View wizard to create a tab that contains a Layout.
Invoke the New View wizard by selecting the

The layout wizard has two steps:
• Enter View Details and Select View Components.
• The current step appears in bold in the Steps list.
Enter View details

In the Name, enter a name that describes the View, such as 'Floor 1 Coverage View'. The name will
appear on the tab.

Click Next to advance to
• Device view: A live view of the distribution of devices across the locales and the Access Point to
which they are connected.

Click Finish. The system:
• creates a new tab containing the associated Layout
• displays the View Layers panel to the right of the tab. The View Layers panel contains the
configuration controls you use to specify the live network data you want displayed in the view.
The configuration controls available depend on which type of view is being configured, as
explained in the following sections, 'Configuring a Device View'.
