NOTE: Install the router only in restricted areas, such as dedicated equipment rooms and
equipment closets, in accordance with Articles 110-16, 110-17, and 110-18 of the National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.

Cabinet Requirements for ACX4000 Routers

You can mount the router in a cabinet that contains a 19-in. (48.3 cm) rack.
Cabinet requirements consist of:
• Cabinet size
• Clearance requirements
• Cabinet airflow requirements
Table 24 on page 78
provides the cabinet requirements and specifications for the router.

You can mount the router in a cabinet that
contains a 19-in. (48.3 cm) rack as defined in
Cabinets, Racks, Panels, and Associated Equipment
(document number EIA-310–D) published by the
Electronics Industry Association
www.eia.org).
NOTE: The rack must meet the strength
requirements to support the weight of the router.
The minimum cabinet size must be able to
accommodate the maximum external dimensions
of the router.
