Confirm if CM Advance Circuit works as shown in "HOW TO CONFIRM IF CM ADVANCE CIRCUIT IS
WORKING." before performing "TROUBLESHOOTING OF MOVIE ADVANCE."
If NG, perform the "TROUBLESHOOTING OF CM ADVANCE." first.
If OK, perform following steps.

TROUBLESHOOTING OF MOVIE ADVANCE
START
Insert a cassette prerecorded movies (rented or purchased) in the
SP speed with the record tab removed.
Set the VCR in search mode for Movie Advance.
(Select search mode in Movie Advance menu.)
Does the signal become LOW at Pin 35 of IC3801 ?
OK
Does the Head Amp SW pulse come to Pin 16 of IC3801 ?
OK
Check IC3801 and parts surrounding Pin 16 of IC3801.
Replace if necessary.
NG
Check signal line between Pin 35 of IC3801 and Pin 10 of IC6001.
NG
Check signal line between Pin 16 of IC3801 and Pin 99 of IC6001.
