Installing adapters
Installing
You can install the following adapters in your printer:

A print server (sometimes called an Internal Network
Adapter or INA), such as the MarkNet
connect the printer to a Local Area Network (LAN). Mark-
Net N2000 print servers support the following:
The tri-port adapter provides connectors for the following:
The parallel port adapter provides an additional
parallel port. Its IEEE 1284C connector requires a
1284 A–C cable. You can purchase a 3 m (9.8 ft) cable, Lex-
mark part number 43H5171, meeting these specifications.
Refer to the documentation that came with your adapter
for more information.
There are three available option slots on your interconnect
board. All option slots support network, tri-port, parallel
port, USB, and Fax modem adapters.
Hard disk adapters must be installed in option 3.
