Shunted pass through operation
When the door is shunting, and the input goes active, the input will not pass
through, i.e. the Advisor Advanced will see the input as remaining inactive.
If the door shunt expires for any reason (Forced or DOTL), and the input is
active, CDC4 will pass through the input state to the Advisor Advanced panel.
If the input activates when the door is not shunted, or the door is in alarm, the
input will pass through and report the active state to the Advisor Advanced panel.
If the input is active when the door shunt starts, the Advisor Advanced panel will
not see a change in the input state.
A tamper on these inputs will be passed through to the Advisor Advanced panel
immediately regardless of the shunt state.
Output mapping
Each output presented to the Advisor Advanced is a direct map of an output
attached to CDC4 (either directly on-board, or attached to a DGP or RAS on one
of its buses).
An output mapping must be set up in CDC4 to map the output to an output
number in the range 1 to 16. Activating the Advisor Advanced output number will
activate the specified output attached to CDC4.
Each mapped output has a type, which may be one of the following:
Disabled: The output is not mapped to a physical output. The output may be
used as an input to a macro.
Direct map: The output is directly mapped to a physical output attached to
CDC4.
Output mapping is programmed in Downloader on the Mapped Outputs tab of the
Expander form for CDC4. See "Mapped outputs tab" on page 87 for instructions.
Since CDC4 can have flexible device locations, any physical output must be
programmed using the scheme described in the "Flexible device locations"
section on page 63.
Advisor Advanced input and output numbering
Advisor Advanced allocates 32 inputs and 16 outputs per expander address. To
allow Advisor Advanced to utilise the maximum possible number of inputs and
outputs on a CDC4, up to 32 mapped inputs and up to 16 mapped outputs can
be configured on CDC4.
Note:
The input and output mappings are specific to each CDC4. Additional door
controllers require additional mappings of inputs and outputs.
The mapped input and output numbers are indexes into the Advisor Advanced
panel device numbering scheme, which depends on the CDC4 address (set via
its DIP switches).
